Who are Angels?
Angels are usually described as 'A spiritual or celestial being sent to earth to relay a message to a person, serve as a protector or help them in their transition into the afterlife.' And this is just what they are.
Angels were created to serve us all and to love unconditionally. In doing so, Angels hold a focus of pure love throughout the Universe and are therefore able to set up a vibration of pure love wherever it is needed.
Everyone has at least one Guardian Angel sometimes two or three. A Guardian Angel is a being that is dedicated to serve and to help you throughout your lifetime.
Your Guardian Angel is dedicated to you and travels with you on every journey that you choose to make. Your Guardian Angel makes an agreement with your soul/higher self to assist in completing any task it has decided to undertake. This is the reason why Angels have been known to make miraculous rescues from accidents. If your soul/higher self has decided to stay on the Earth Plane for a given length of time, an Angel with assist in getting someone out of trouble who's 'time is not yet up'.
There are Angels for just about every function you can think of, and many more besides. There is no limit to how many angels you can have in your life and there is no limit to what you may ask for! You can ask Angels to assist you with any project, problem or issue you may have. You may call upon Angels whenever you wish to and for whatever purpose provided that the purpose is not intended to hurt to injure anyone or the Earth itself.
Here are just some of the things that you can ask the Angels:
- To fill your home with love
- To watch over your children while they are out of your care
- To travel on journeys
- To find a parking space
- To find a shopping bargain
- To help you when you are trying to stop smoking or are trying to lose weight
- To take care of or fix your computer
There is no limit to what you may ask your Angel to do for you. I have heard people say, that is what I can't understand how can there be angels for everything? The answer is simple, angels are here to help us, so no matter what we need help with there will always be an angel to help. If you ask for help with something that there is no angel for, one will be created especially for this task.
Just remember that angels are bound by the laws of free will, so if you want their help just ask and don't forget to say thank you afterwards.
Note about religion
Angels don't belong to any specific religion although they are mentioned in almost all of them. As they are non denominational, Angels work with all religions.
What do Angels look like?
You are going to find a lot of books say that angels are 'translucent' and 'semi-opaque', that they have 'no skin' and 'don't have any racial colouring'. Angels come in all shapes and sizes. Archangels look the tallest and Cherubs look small and baby like.
I have found through my observations that angels will appear as they want to. If they want to appear 7 foot tall they will, if they want to appear as a normal person they will.
The one thing that is certain is that we decide what we want our angels to look like. If we need a more female energy then they will appear female, if we need a more masculine energy they will be male.
If your angel appears in front of you 7 foot tall and shining like the brightest star, ask them to tone it down. Your guardian angel will appear however you want them to so that you feel comfortable with them.
Angel Hierarchy
There are 9 levels within the Angel Hierarchy, split in to 3 sphere's or levels, (also known as Choirs) starting with the Seraphim which is the highest level closest to God, through to Angels who are closest to humans.
Sphere One
This consists of Angelic Beings who are known as 'God's faithful Angels', these are being that very rarely come down to earth who assist God with whatever needs doing.
Seraphim
The Seraphim are the level closest to God and are considered to be the angels of pure light, love and fire. The Seraphim shine so brilliantly with pure light that you may never see them but you can still access them through prayer or asking.
Cherubim
The next level is the cherubim who channel positive energy from God and guard the stars. They represent the wisdom of the source.
Thrones
The thrones are the next level and channel energy to you through your guardian angel. They are the investigators for God and create and collect positive energies and represent justice. They also provide guidance in matter of karma.
Sphere Two
This level consists of beings who are organising and ministering Angels. These angels are more concerned with the universe than individuals.
Dominions
The Dominions represent wisdom and intuition.
Virtues
The virtues work hand in hard with the Thrones and send lots of spiritual energy to help people develop the tools required to progress along their spiritual path. They love positive people and often perform miracles. The virtues also represent extreme courage and strength.
Powers
These are the angels that keep track of human history. They will send messages when someone or something is out to harm you. The powers will help you to see through situations and problems and protect you when in trouble. They also help us to decide what is right and wrong.
Sphere Three
This final level belongs to the Angels who are most involved with humans.
Principles
The Principalities guard countries, cities and groups of people on Earth. They protect political and religious leaders and help them make the right decisions.
Archangels
The archangels actually belong to several levels, but they enjoy dealing with humans when and where they can. They are considered the 'special team force' of the angelic realms. They channel positive energy to the world from God. They all have different qualities which you can read about later.
Angels
The last level but by no means the least important angels. Angels help up with our day to day life and bring information and guidance from God to humans. Your Guardian Angel belongs to this level and works closely with you your whole life and leads you home when the time comes.

Angels also communicate to us in many ways, they send feathers, these are known as the angels' calling card. They also send pennies, known as pennies from heaven.
Angel Lights
Angel lights also show themselves like little flashing lights, almost like little sparkles. When you see these lights you are really seeing the friction or energy of angels moving across the room.
The white lights are from our Guardian Angels, and they colourful lights originate from Archangels. I have listed some of the colours below for you.
Blue: (pale, almost white) Haniel who helps women with their feminine health and assists with clairvoyance.
Blue: (aqua) Raguel, who helps with relationships.
Blue: (dark) Zadkiel, the archangel who helps in improving our memory and mental functioning
Green: (bright emerald) Raphael, the healing Archangel
Green: (pale) Chamuel the Archangel of peace who helps us find what we are looking for
Green with dark pink: Matatron, who helps children retain their spiritual gifts and self esteem
Pink: (bright fuchsia) Jophiel, who helps us beautify our thoughts and life
Pink (pale) Ariel, who helps with animals, nature and manifestation
Purple: (bright) Michael who gives us courage and protection
Rainbows: Raziel, who helps spiritual and psychic blocks
Turquoise: Sandalphon, the musical angel
Violet: Jeremiel who helps heal our emotions
Yellow: (pale) Uriel, the Archangel of wisdom
Yellow: (dark) Gabriel, who helps messengers and parents.
Angel Numbers
Another way the angels communicate with us is via numbers and number sequences. Have you ever noticed that you look at the clock at the same time every day? Or that the same number keeps appearing everywhere you look? This is no coincidence but your angels talking to you.
Below are the basic meanings of the numbers:
0 : This is a message of love from the creator.
1 : Watch your thoughts and only think about your desires instead of your fears, as you will attract what you are thinking.
2 : Keep the faith and don't give up.
3 : Jesus and the other Ascended Masters are with you and helping you.
4 : The Angels are assisting you with this situation.
5 : A positive change is coming up for you.
6 : Release any fears about physical/material world to God and the angels. Balance your thoughts between material and spiritual.
7 : You are on the right path so keep going now.
8 : Abundance is coming to you now.
9 : Get to work on your life's purpose without delay.
When you see a sequence add the numbers together like 235 means keep the faith and don't give up, as Jesus and the ascended masters are helping you towards a positive change which is coming up for you.
Some individual Angels
Archangel Ariel
Pronounced AHR-eee-ehl, meaning 'Lioness of God'
She is the angel of the Earth and Nature. She helps with our physical needs and supplies and is associated with bravery, courage and focus.
Images of Lions signal she is with you giving you courage and confidence.
She protects and heals animals.
Her aura is pale pink.
Archangel Chamuel
Pronounced CHAM-you-ehl, meaning 'He who sees God'.
He erases anxiety, brings peace both personal and global, helps to find lost objects, situations and people. He also helps us to find our perfect career. Chamuel sees your true qualities and loves you unconditionally, he works to promote tolerance in our hearts, and helps us to realise before we can give love that we must first love ourselves.
His aura is pale green.
Archangel Gabriel
Pronounced GAY-brie-ehl, meaning 'God is my strength'.
Gabriel is the famous angel who told Elizabeth and Mary of the impending birth of their son's. Gabriel guides hopeful parents towards child conception or through the process of adoption. Gabriel also helps anyone who's life purpose involves the arts or communication.
Gabriel is the Archangel of action.
Gabriels aura is copper like his Trumpet.
Archangel Haniel
Pronounced Hahn-eee-ehl, meaning 'Glory of God'.
She helps with clairvoyance and grooms your hidden talents. She also helps with female problems. If you are depressed, have low self-esteem or self destructive thoughts, call in Haniel.
Some people say that Haniel is also the Angel of Death.
Her aura is bluish white.
Archangel Jeremiel
Pronounced JUH-reh-mee-ehl, meaning 'Mercy of God'.
He is the Angel of Divine Vision' he deals with emotions, helping us with forgiveness, having a merciful outlook and making positive changes, moving on and to help stop people playing the victim, and treating yourself with love and respect.
He aura is deep purple.
Archangel Jophiel
Pronounced JAW-phee-ehl, meaning 'Beauty of God'.
She is the 'Angel of Paradise and Illumination'. And heals negative situations and brings beauty and organisation in to our loves. She is associated with anything beautiful, and can help us to see the beauty both without and within, and can help rid feelings of jealousy.
Her aura is a deep rose pink.
Archangel Metatron
Pronounced MATE-ah-tron.
He is known as the voice of God and the angel of small children. He is said to be the king of the Angels. He was the prophet Enoch and heals learning disorders and childhood issues. He can also help with life purpose. He brings together the complementary energies of feminine and masculine to assist in creating a balance.
His aura colour is violet and green stripes.
Archangel Michael
Pronounced MIKE-all, meaning 'He who is like God' or 'He who looks like God'.
He is the leader of the Archangels and over sees lightworker's life purpose. He is usually seen tall and handsome carrying a sword which he uses to release fears and a purple cloak which he can wrap around you for protection. Call Michael whenever you feel frightened by negative energy e.g. if you are in a crowded place and there are lots of angry or upset people. Michael is also connected with the fire element, the direction south and Autumn.
Michael's aura is royal blue mixed with tinges of purple.
When he's near you may see sparkles of bright blue or bright purple, the air pressure in the room may become heavy or the temperature my rise slightly.
Archangel Raguel
Pronounced RAH-guh-ehl, meaning 'Friend of God'.
he brings harmony to all relationships and helps to heal misunderstandings, and sort out feelings. When your faith wavers or your spirit is low, call on Raguel to help.
His aura is light pale blue, the colour of the morning sky.
Archangel Raphael
Pronounced RAPH-ee-l, meaning God Heals' or 'God has Healed'.
He is a powerful healer of physical bodies, both for human and animals. Raphael is known for keeping travellers safe and can also help with your own inward spiritual journey for truth and guidance. Ask for Raphael's help with addictions or cravings. Ask Raphael to surround anything that needs healing with his emerald green aura. If you feel unwell, sick or injured or you known someone who is, call on Raphael to heal them or you.
Archangel Raziel
Pronounced RAW-zee-el, meaning 'Secrets of God'.
He releases spiritual and psychic blocks and helps with dream interpretations and past life memories. He is known as the wizard of the Archangels and can be used to open ancient powers. He helps us to find the logic in any situation.
His aura is a rainbow
Archangel Sandalpon
Pronounced SAN-dahl-fon, meaning 'brother'.
He is the angel of Prayer and master of the Angelic Song. Sandalpon was s mortal man, who lived such a good life he was elevated to angel status (he was the prophet Elijah). He heals aggression and delivers prayers to the creator, helps musicians and those involved in using music for healing. He will assist you to find a calm centre and assist you finding your path for the highest good.
His aura is cool turquoise.
Archangel Uriel
Pronounced U-re-ehl, meaning 'God is Light' or 'Gods Light' because he illuminates situations and gives prophetic information and warnings. For example, Uriel warned Noah of the impending flood. Uriel is regarded as one of the wisest Archangels. He is considered to be an Archangel who helps with earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, natural disaster and earth changes.
Call upon Uriel to avert such events or to heal and recover in the aftermath. Whenever you need ideas or intellectual guidance contact Archangel Uriel.
Uriel's energy is pale yellow.
Archangel Zadkiel
Pronounced ZHAD-kee-el, meaning 'Righteousness of God; he heals memory problems and assists with other mental functions. he helps us to release unforgiveness towards and self and others, to clear away toxins from our hearts and helps us work toward our heart's desire.
His aura is deep indigo blue.
